21 Weeks (A little late:))

I've been bad about posting pics of myself!

Here's one at 21 weeks. I'm 25 weeks tomorrow so I will post an updated pic!

A much needed trip!

Alex and I decided to take a quick one night trip to New Orleans last week since we were off on Good Friday. Here's a picture of the hotel we stayed at, it was the Renaissance New Orleans Pere Marquette Hotel. It was right by the French Quarter so we were able to walk everywhere which was convenient!

 We stopped at Cafe Du Monde and had beignets!

 We ate at an outdoor restaurant and had crawfish and a muffaletta sandwich.

And Alex got to enjoy New Orleans a little more than I did, I stuck with water :)  It was a fun trip and it was nice to travel since it's been a while for me since I wasn't feeling good for the first 14 weeks! We will definitely try to travel more before little Mason is here!

It's a

BOY!!!! We found out yesterday that it is definitely a baby BOY! I'm 20 weeks today so we're half way there.

Alex Update

Alex is now back at work. We went in yesterday and he got a

walking boot, but is still using his crutches.Here's a couple pics of his "new" ankle.

                                              

Alex's Surgery

Friday, March 11th was Alex's ankle surgery. If anyone has seen him play indoor soccer-- you know how he played and it definitely caused a lot of problems with his ankle. He's been playing sports all his life- so it was time to fix it!

We went in at 10am and he didn't end up going into surgery until noon. The surgery lasted about 2 hours and then we heard from the doctor. He was amazed by how much debris was in there and spent most of the time cleaning it up then reattached the ligaments and filled in missing cartilage. He will be home for 10 days and then we'll go back to the doctor to get a walking boot.
He's been doing really good- he's not used to just laying around so he's been pretty bored, but he has to do it or it will feel worse. We stocked up on DVDs and food so he's set for the week!

16 Week Appt

I had my 16 week appt on 3/8. She said everything looks great and she wanted to check the heartbeat before I left. He wasn't cooperating very much so we had to go down the hall for a quick sonogram since he was moving so much! We have our next sonogram on 4/5 (our anniversary :)) and that's when we'll find out the sex for sure. She said he's definitely acting like a boy-- he's moving SO much. Looks like it's going to be just like Alex :)

Oranges!

It's funny that it's been my biggest craving this week and that's what size he is! I eat about 3 a day and could easily eat more! I'm almost to 15 weeks and I've been feeling a lot better. I've been a lot more tired-- but I'll take that over the all day nausea.
